Product purpose:

IEHR Repositories Platform is a vendor-independent, big-data, high-performance platform designed to store, manage, query, retrieve, and exchange structured electronic health record data based on open standards. All clinical information is stored in archetypes and templates allowing standard data entry and retrieval with terminology based validation. This approach facilitates semantic interoperability of clinical data from systems based on existing standards while a portable language ensures smooth cross-platform querying.

Also included are tools for integration, operational performance monitoring and data management, support for multiple languages and medical terminologies. Integration options cover popular development environments and analytics platforms.

Audit trails and node authentication ensure data confidentiality and integrity as well as user accountability necessary when dealing with health data. It is tested to support tens of millions of EHR records with one billion documents and can be deployed as a standalone, clustered, appliance or cloud solution.

Scope:

IEHR Repositories can be purchased by the following payers:

  • eHealth Programmes building eHealth infrastructure, registries, app platforms
  • Health systems, care providers for clinical data warehouses, app platforms
  • Vendor/developers – to embed into new apps and applications
  • Service providers – to host app platforms

Main benefits:

  • Organizations:

eHealth can use our platform as a CDR based on open-source, vendor-independent clinical data models. Controlling the way data is stored to prevent lock-in by application vendors and opening platform APIs to app developers will foster competition and innovation in communities. Large health systems can build clinical data warehouses as a basis for clinical decision support. Established vendors can use the platform to deliver next-generation applications on a solid, semantically coherent foundation, achieving much faster time-to-market. Small vendors and start-ups can leverage it to deliver enterprise grade solutions with less investment to compete with bigger players

  • Professionals:

Care providers have numerous, homegrown applications to store data that cannot be accommodated by their EHR. Using our platform, even disparate, small apps store data in the same CDR. The availability of consistent clinical data across applications helps professionals deliver better care while enhancing research capability.

  • Patients:

Storing all clinical data in a coherent platform improves care quality and patient safety. Apps can be developed to allow patients to enter data, monitor their health and help manage chronic disease

  • Society:

Lifetime electronic health records and clinical registries enabled by our platform are key to disease prevention, improving care, outcomes and patient safety. Opening semantically interoperable data through easy to use APIs builds an ecosystem of competition and innovation among application providers.
